Frequently Asked Questions Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that may be asked along with their answers: Q. How long will it take for 5 Star Websites to design my website? A. This will depend on what you want on your website. For a 5 Star Budget Website Package (ie. no more than 5 pages, images and logos are supplied by you) we aim to have the website design completed within 10 business days according to your initial designs or requirements. Obviously more detailed sites may take longer than this. Q. What happens once the website design is completed? A. Once you confirm you are happy with the finished product and want to get it on the internet, we will make the site 'live' (online). As part of your 5 Star Budget Website Package you will get web hosting and a domain name for your site, and we will show you how you can access your web hosting and domain account and features via a control panel. You will also receive a copy of all the files for your website. Q. What is a domain name? A. A domain name is the 'address' of your website, for example www.yoursite.com.au. Your domain name will point to your website's space on the internet, so whoever types this into their web browser or clicks a link to it (eg. from Google) will be directed to your website. All Australian domain names must be registered with the Australian Domain Name Administrator (auDA). This service is included with our 5 Star Budget Website Package. Q. What is web hosting? A. When you have a website, you need to have some disk space, which is accessed through the internet, to place your website's files. Once your site's files are placed on this 'webspace', you have your domain name point to that space and therefore your website. The easiest way to get webspace is via a web hosting service, which is included with the 5 Star Budget Website Package. Here is a list of just some of the features of our web hosting service:
Q. What is major search engine optimisation and submission? A. When 5 Star refer to a 'major search engine' we are referring to the 3 biggest search engines, which are Google, Yahoo and MSN. These are websites where internet users mostly go to search for other websites or information. To have your website accessible through these search engines it needs to be submitted to them so that they can include it in their listings. Q. Who are 5 Star Websites? A. 5 Star Websites is operated by David Chapman in Melbourne's western suburbs. I have been studying IT, in particular web design for the past 4.5 years, and now want to put my learned skills to good use. I have previously designed the website for Touring Pro, a professional tennis coaching service in Melbourne. Although currently working in a full-time position, I am looking to now consolidate a career in web design through 5 Star Websites. What this all means for you, the consumer, is that if you need a 5 Star website for your business, organisation or for personal use then I can do it for you at a very cheap price.
